I redesigned an AI video SaaS. Conversion doubled.

RiseAngle lets creators make and schedule faceless TikTok and YouTube Shorts using AI — no filming, no editing. The product had a desktop-first experience while 73% of users were on mobile. I redesigned the creation flow, template library, and monetisation UX across both platforms.

Creation Flow

Creation Flow

11 steps → 4-step wizard. Mobile-first with bottom sheets, live AI preview inline, and a collapsible side panel on desktop.

Template Library

Template Library

Form-based selection → visual card grid. 3-col on desktop, swipe cards on mobile. One-tap preview. Locked templates visible, not hidden.

Monetisation UX

Monetisation UX

Hard gate → contextual paywall with feature spotlight, 3 social proof lines, 3-day trial CTA, and annual/monthly toggle with savings callout.

Instead of jumping straight to redesign, I started with an analytics audit. Finding that 73% of sessions were mobile changed the entire design direction before I drew a single frame.

Analytics Audit

Found drop-off data. Identified where users quit and on which devices. Reframed the brief around mobile.

Design + Iteration

Mobile-first wireframes → desktop scaling → hi-fi. Two rounds of feedback loops with the PM.

Handoff + Validation

nnotated component specs, dev handoff in Figma, and a final Maze session on the new flows.

The paywall was blocking revenue. We had to show value before asking for money.

The original paywall was a full-screen hard gate — a lock icon with a price. No context. No trial. No reason to upgrade. I proposed three directions to the PM:
